THE WORLD'S FIRST REAL-LIFE KINDNESS RPG

Your City Is the Game.

Some Neat Place is a real-life kindness RPG. No controllers. No headsets. The game is your everyday life — the coffee shop, the commute, the grocery line. Every act of kindness you perform earns XP, evolves your character, and lights your city back up.

When you open the app, the world looks gray. That's the Static — not a villain with a face, but the visible weight of loneliness, disconnection, and apathy. The average person walks past hundreds of people every day without making eye contact, let alone a kind gesture. The Static is what that looks like made visible.

Your job is to push it back. Not with a sword. With kindness.

Eno is your in-game character — your inner child, the light that existed before the world got heavy. When you start, Eno is a flickering gray wisp. Dormant. Quiet.

But every time you complete a kindness quest, Eno gets brighter. More colorful. More defined. Eno evolves through seven stages:

StageQuestsWhat It Means
Dormant0You've just arrived. Eno is still.
Awakening1–5Your first acts of kindness ignite the spark.
Growing6–25Eno starts to take shape. People notice.
Defined26–75Your kindness style is becoming clear.
Radiant76–150You light up every room you walk into.
Luminous151–300Your light is unmistakable. Others follow.
Kindred Spirit300+You are the light you were looking for.

Quests are real-world acts of kindness — small, specific, and always doable. They're drawn from behavioral science and grouped into seven skill trees called Prisms. Some quests take 30 seconds. Others take real courage.

Examples of daily quests:

  • Thank your server by name and make eye contact.
  • Hold the door for the next three people who walk through.
  • Leave an honest, encouraging review for a local business.
  • Text someone you haven't spoken to in over a year.
  • Let someone go ahead of you in line without being asked.
  • Pay for a stranger's coffee anonymously.

Complete a quest, tap confirm, and watch your city change color.

Every neighborhood in your city starts gray. When you complete quests in an area, the map starts to glow. The more consistently you show up — the brighter it burns. Stop practicing, and the gray creeps back. The garden needs tending.

But once a neighborhood reaches its peak — it never fully fades. That's permanent light. Your mark on the world.

The science behind kindness is decades old. Acts of kindness increase serotonin and dopamine — not just in the receiver, not just in the giver, but in anyone who witnesses them. Kindness is literally contagious.

What has never existed before is a system that makes kindness feel like a practice worth showing up for every day. That's what Some Neat Place is building. Think Pokémon Go meets the Girl Scouts, but for compassion. Gamified. Earned. Real.
