TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to anyone who accesses or uses the Some Neat Place website at someneatplace.com or the Some Neat Place mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Some Neat Place ("SNP," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Some Neat Place. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Platform, you confirm that your use does not violate any laws applicable to you.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at founders@someneatplace.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for harmful purposes.

4. The SNP Experience

Some Neat Place is a real-life kindness game. The platform includes kindness quests, companion progression, a map of Anchor locations, and community features. Quest completion is honor-system based — we trust you to be honest. Exploiting or gaming the system in bad faith undermines the community and is grounds for account termination.

The Platform is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use SNP to promote unrelated products, scrape data, or interfere with other users' experience.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, bully, or harm other users or Anchor businesses
• Submit false or misleading quest completions
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Platform
• Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
• Impersonate SNP, our team, Anchor businesses, or other users
• Upload or transmit malware or harmful code

6. Anchor Locations

Anchor businesses are independent third parties that have partnered with SNP. We do not control and are not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of Anchor businesses. Your interactions with Anchor locations are at your own discretion. Please be kind — that's the whole point.

7. User Content

If you submit content to the Platform (e.g., profile details, quest logs, or messages), you grant SNP a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform. You retain ownership of your content. We will not sell your content to third parties.

You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit anything illegal, defamatory, or harmful to others.

8. Intellectual Property

All Platform content — including the SNP name, logo, companion characters, Prism designs, game mechanics, and written content — is owned by Some Neat Place and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any harm that results from your participation in real-world kindness acts or interactions with Anchor locations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Some Neat Place shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of SNP shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which for most users is zero, since the core experience is free).

11. Changes to the Platform or These Terms

We may modify the Platform or these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using SNP and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including sections 8, 9, and 10) will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
