The Story
Clifford Antone opened this club in 1975 to bring the blues to Austin. He flew Muddy Waters and Pinetop Perkins down from Chicago and put them in front of college kids who'd never heard anything like it. That's still what we do — introduce people to something they didn't know they needed.
